Aftercare – The Healing Process
Right After Your Tattoo
-
Leave the protective film or bandage on for 2–6 hours, unless instructed otherwise.
-
Wash your hands, then gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap.
-
Pat dry with a clean paper towel — never rub.
-
Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare cream (fragrance-free, non-alcoholic).
-
Avoid re-covering unless recommended.
First Week
-
Wash and moisturize the tattoo 2–3 times daily.
-
Keep it clean, dry, and lightly moisturized — no thick layers of cream.
-
Do not scratch, pick, or peel — even if it itches or flakes.
-
Avoid tight clothing, heavy exercise, and direct sunlight.
-
No swimming, sauna, or soaking.
After Week 2
-
Most healing is complete after 2–3 weeks.
-
Keep moisturizing daily.

Protect your tattoo from sunlight — always use SPF 50 if exposed.
